I went searching on the "rehto" forum this morning, hoping to find some useful information. However, anything that I did come across, ended up in jumbled he said/he said and any of the link were no longer to valid information to offer confirmation on what I was searching for.
Long story short, I just gave up trying to save a few extra dollars, and PartShark wins the bidding war on information that I was able to confirm. I'm just after the swingarm bearings/dust seals and I'll get the frt/rear/steering bearings after this riding season -- when I go to finish the powdercoating.
Ended up cleaning the wife's car and then asked to get power/water on in the RV. Let just say, two cheap fittings giving way and a trip to the RV parts counter, got me back up and running in water without it leaking all over the place. cleaned up the inside a bit and have to do some misc. trim work to put things back together (since they could not do it right the first time)
So, after the day was shot, I decided to start on the FZ. Torqued all the engine mounts to spec, put my new ported boots on and caps (only to find out that one of the brass bushings on the clamps fell into the abyss. I removed the starter, on to find out that the gears protruded into the engine. Thankfully, it slid back in with a little love tap and hoping I don't have any problems later on.
getting ready to cut the airbox to prepare for the MB jet kit (IVAN's) with a little modified tweak from Aaron (va_rider). I ashmed to admit, but I've had parts for this little venture for almost two years.....here is hoping it was worth the wait!
Airbox. fire up the compressor and get some of the grains of sand out of the nooks/crannies of the back half of the engine. Probably work on getting the harness in place and maybe start working on the back end with the various bits.
going to spend a little time each night for it seems to be my only way to unwind.
