PapaGeno21's Build Thread...

wooow Papa, you're doing a lot to a bike you've just purchased. Hope you're not like me when it comes to vehicles.

What happens when you get bored with that bike? You would have done everything possibly to it, and no room for additions :).

I have just ordered a two brothers slip on for mine I bought new in Apr. Will be ordering Zero Gravity, and SS brake line next week. It will be a while before I add anything else to it; I think. I'm scared to do more to it out of fear of getting bored like I do with my cars.

It's looking killer though.

I wont get bored with this bike. I only swap vehicles fast becuase I can't find what is rellay "me".

I traded the Gen 1 for this brandy new 2010 due to the fact I know that this IS the bike for me, for the long haul.

I wont get rid of this bike ever, just add more to the stable in years to come.

^ I hear ya papa. This bike puts a grin on my face everytime I get on it. Since Apr I've put 91XX miles on it, compared to the 11xxx miles on my Spirit I've had since Sept 2007

Geno's old Exhaust

I know this is Papa's build thread but I thought he'd like to see his old GYTR Exhaust has found it's new home :D

I couldn't help but install it today to listen to the mean growl in my garage... and it sounds awsome. Much more of a throatier grunt at low RPM and as the revs goes up it honestly seems similar to stock but more punch! From riding with Geno I KNOW it will sound even better on the road... but that'll have to wait until spring...

Oh, and I weighed both cans. Stock was just over 15lbs ... the GYTR 5 lbs, 1.4oz!!! WOW

Lee, every time I see a new pic of your bike, I have to double-take because I first stop and think... "When did I take that pic?" Then I see the subtle differences and realize you posted the pic! ;)

Looks good bro!

Edit:

My Watsens shipped out on Thursday, so I should have those soon. I am ordering the CopperDawg speed screen tomorrow!

Going to be SICK!

Hey ... I just noticed looking through old posts this GYTR is "Balvenia's" old exhaust !!! I knew Geno got it used but didn't realize it was someone who I chat with on the board - too funny!

Guess what comes around goes around... thanks to both of you the pipe is still mint but now some how I feel dirty LOL :disturbed

Watsens should be here late this week, early next week.

Ordered the Motivation Accessories fork sliders.

Ordered the CopperDawg speed screen, medium length, stock mirror cutouts, normal cut top, and full gloss raven in color. He said if he ends up doing the run on the clear centers we can retro my screen for that if it was done in all raven, which is good becuase I like the all raven the most anyways.

That about sums everything up though, won't be doing much more with it until summer. I will be installing the 520 Conversion chain and sprockets I have sitting here along with the axle block sliders in the spring. I will be ordering some Pilot Powers at some point over the winter and will be doing that all at once.

The screen, blinkers and fork sliders will go on at once when everything is here.

:)

Gonna be a great summer!

Looking VERY sweet with the additions Papa.

Question though? Is the pillion seat latched down in those pics? It looks quite out of sorts and not fitting at all. ;)

Did you get the new Watsen's? I believe he does not make the 3-way sets any longer, meaning no running lights, but I could be wrong. Does RI require front running lights? I know NH does.

I don't need running lights, so it doesent matter to me which way mine work.

Also, yes the seat is crooked as the wire is hanging out from it for the battery tender lead lol.

Man, Papa, the bike looks KILLER! Well done! I really like the high mount. I'm curious to hear what you think of the sound.

The Penske 8900E is the best buy out there, the stock shock is pathetic.

I'm really looking forward to seeing the "Dawg" just don't do an "Eric" and bump your bike. :doh2:

I cant wait for my Speed Screen to come in!

That, some new rubbers and then the new chain and sprockets with front and rear sliders will be awesome!

My Motivational Accessories front sliders came in today. Man these are nice pieces!

Will be a cinch to install, so next time I am outside they are gonna go on there.
