Other Bike Talk

I wonder how the new Ducati Multistrada 1200 is compared to the FZ1. It's got equal power, and it's lighter. It also has a stupid LCD display with LCD rev counter bar (!! arrgh). It's also more expensive, even in the low-end version, without the Ohlins, but being a Ducati I don't worry about the second hand value. I'm going to take a test drive this weekend, see how it feels between my legs. What's on paper is never the whole truth

It would be neat if Yamaha did the multiple fuel mappings like the Duc so it would make it an even more versatile bike than it is already.

I agree, that would be a strong selling point. Combine that with the new crossplane engine, and you have a clear winner, even if the Ducati is packed with technology.
The only problem I see right now is that the FZ1 price for 2010 is almost like the basic Ducati, which would make me kindof opt for the somewhat better looking italian, with the better second hand value.
