Just got my FZ1 5 days ago and love it! A discounted 2009 model that was at 0 miles. My previous bike was a 1982 yamaha maxim. Hopefully everyone here knows what that is!!! Not really. I've had alot of people tell me they have never heard of it. Anyways, I'm looking forward to meeting everyone and thanks in advance for all of the excellent knowlledge I am going to gain from this forum.
 
Welcome to the forum. I also had a Maxim 750 1983. They were great bikes. To bad they don't make 4 cylinder cruisers anymore. Not that I'd want to trade for my FZ1, but they were good bikes for their style.

Welcome to the Forum. I to had a Maxim, a 650, (my second bike) back in the 80's. Pretty big step up, like going from a Cessna to the Starship Enterprise.

:welcome: and congrats! What color did you get? Cobalt Blue with the black forks? ;)

Might want to put a lock on your wallet, credit cards and bank account though because this place encourages a TON of spending! ;) Let the modding begin!
 
Welcome aboard! I just bought my 02 Fz1 in mid December. It's my second bike,my first being a 97 kawasaki EN500. I am absolutely in love with my Fz1 and I just may file for divorce so I can marry my bike. hehe.
If you have any questions about the bike or modding it then ask around here. These guys and gals know what they are talking about.
 
yeah cobalt blue with the black. so far there isnt anything i wanna mod on the bike but im sure that will change over time. i love the maxim pic! mine was all black and had a square headlight. what an awesome bike for its time.
