Hello all, Scott here from Milwaukee and a new member here on FZ1F

Proud owner (as of Tuesday) of a 2006 FZ1 with just 1800 miles on the odo. Bone stock aside from the removal/shaving of that hideous thing Yamaha called a "rear fender".

Long history with bikes, from childhood until now, just not always on road bikes. Last street bikes go back to the early/mid 90's when it was a 1993 Katana 600 and then a 1995 Yamaha FZR 600 R. so it has been a while since I rode on the street...with my own bike that is.

Modding plans include fixing that damn vibration in the windscreen-ish area, exhausy and a nice belly pan/lower cowl but I want the Yamaha one, which I cannot seem to find for the 2006, so if anyone has a link by all means throw it up.

Looking forward to everyone's input here on the forums and helping where I can.

First and foremost, welcome to the club.

Secondly, beautiful daughter, do we have a future Nina Prinz?

Thrid, great looking bike. I actually like the silver more than the other colors.

I have 4 future Nina Prinzs' here. Four daughters aged 5-13 and two step sons 10 and 13. So yes, it is a busy house hold around here.

Thanks for the welcome and yes, I like the darker silver on black to. What is the exact name of this color though? If it is simply just "silver" I guess that would make sense.

welcome to the site and wow what a family. Good looking pics of your new toy. the folks on this site are great so you should not have any problem finding any info you need. have fun and ride safe!!!

welcome and congrats on the bike. Congrats as well on your job well done in managing a large household. Ensure you get away often on the bike, otherwise she'll start complaining ;-) the bike
