My latest Yamaha

New to me as of today, a 1984 Yamaha Enticer 300. I rode an ET when I was a kid and have always wanted one since. This one came up for a great price so I snapped it up. When I got home my wife wanted to pose on it with the baby, which makes sense because it's the snowmobile he will eventually learn to ride on.

I had one of those when I was a kid. Everyone use to call it the slipper.

After riding it about 40km (25miles) yesterday I discovered exactly what is so appealing about newer snowmobiles. It's the fact that they have suspension. I weigh about 200lb and that ET is like a motorized toboggan. I think I need a spine transplant.

Get one of these. 16" of travel in the rear suspension.

Cool for sure but you probably have a few more bucks invested than I do. I've taken friends' Apexes and Nytros for rips here and there and they are really cool machines. Only problem is that winter is so unreliable in this part of Ontario that it's hard to justify spending the cash. Unless you trailer up to Quebec you might not get to ride much at all.
