Material: Stainless Steel.

Today I took measurements for the fork brackets.
This is the result.
I must say that I do not have any technical education and never learned how to make technical dwawings, so excuse my mistakes.

Look at this picture and you will figure it out:

It is the link of the damper to the right fork, handlebars respectively.

No, it is an improvised protection cover for the thermostat housing.
But always draws the attention... and is kind of cool looking. :)

It does look neat... it made me curious... It looks like a pulley for a belt drive supercharger or something....

I like what you've done with the bike.. kudos to you for bringing it back from the grave!!!

It is a part from the clutch I replaced.
Thanks for your good words.

While waiting for the rear fender, i made some exterior "mods" :)

The tail had an empty space in the back, just above the tail lights and I had to fill it with something:

And the Yammi Badge :) :

Thank you.
I can't wait for the snow to melt over here. But it will probably take another month.

Well, today I received the fender from FZ6. It seemed like it would be a direct fit, but when I got down to it turned out it isn't. Heavy mods were necessary (cutting :laugh2:) to fit the fender. I kind of did it gradually and carefully, trying to avoid taking off too much material of it. But the whole chain cover had to go, as well as part of the right side and a part that points to the shock absirber. I will use the original chain cover to support the fender on the left side in two points (screws with nuts shall be in the inner body of fender and chain cover) and two plates to support it on the right side to the swing arm with bolts (also hidden). All black. :)

Finally, I got the shape and size that satisfies me. It is only a test mount, with no fixing plates and bolts yet.

Sorry for the bad quality pics.

Well, I have reviewed my concept about lowering the bike rear side down with 4 cm.
I'd rather do it 2 cm. lower only.
Here are the plates:

022892691.jpg

022892692.jpg

Stainless steel, 6 mm. thick.

Stock plates are 5 mm. thick carbon steel, holes are around 138 mm. distance, these above are 150 mm. holes distance. Presently the bike is lowered by 4 cm. on the rear side - plates with 160 mm. between the holes. I hope with the new plates I will have 2 cm of lowering.

Will post pics and info when done.

Today I compared the three type of plates. Here are some pictures:

Now the bike is lowered equally on the front and rear end - 2 cm. And I can lift it to the central stand much more easier than before. :)

I also mounted the handlebars damper:

And here is the bike at its final height settings:
