Could not get used to all the folks on bikes with no helmets.

Might be just a coincidence, but the two days I turned on the news, there were three fatalities (in Honolulu) in one week.

All the people on 50cc scooters were flying down the highways in the bike lanes(at a blistering 35mph).

We rented scooters last time we were in Honolulu.....and I don't remember being offered a helmet
So, maybe there is no helmet law in Hawaii???
Or they think they are invincible since it's "just a scooter"...like a car can't plow into that like butter!

Is this a vacation or work trip? Either way....nice place to be

I grew up in Hawaii, there is no helmet law there. It had been a while since I had been home & went back a couple months ago & I couldn't get used to seeing all idiots trying to look cool with no shirts & flip flops on sport bikes. There were a couple of fatalities the week I was there as well.

No helmet laws in Florida either. There is always somebody riding around with a helmet locked to the bike instead of on the rider's head. Usually a fatality at Daytona Bike Week too because somebody was drunk or high and not wearing a helmet.
