My name is Adam, I will give a brief history or myself.

Had a scooter in high school in 2006 then
Bought a red 06 sv650 in 2008.

Had some fun with it

(I got pulled over 3 times this day, got 2 speeding tickets and 1 warning.)

The bike transformed many times as I crashed it.

I have had tons of fun on the sv650. Went cross country on it. Went to the grand canyon in the winter. Went to yellowstone/yosemite last summer. And now it is my race bike for this season!

So of course, I had to get a street bike!
So being young, I got a great deal last month on a 03 zx6rr with a 636 motor.

I started to hate everything about the bike. The ergonomics, the power band (wtf I dont want to be at 10k to get power), so I sold it after a month (yesterday). I went out and picked up a 03 fz1 today.

Took it down from the mountain today and I already love it. It is so smooth! It also came with a corbin seat. Seems like the front rotors are warped so I will have to replace them. She has 26k miles and looks brand new! Also the tires are toast and have to replace ASAP. I already have a Pirelli Angel front so i just have to buy a matching rear.

Welcome Adam. :welcome:

Boy! All I can say is that if you were getting speeding tickets with the SV, your gonna get the book thrown at ya with the FZ!!! Great looking Bee you found there. Find out if the previous owner had the Valve Inspection done or not. 26,000 miles is the time to have them checked and adjusted if necessary. If he says that they were done, see if he could show you the work receipt so you can be sure. Other than that she looks great. Have a great time with it and keep the rubber side down!!!

The owner got them adjusted and showed me proof, so it is good on that part.

That is the only day I have ever been pulled over. I am much more controlled now. Luckily I got both speeding tickets thrown out, so my record is still clean.

Going to my mom's house to remove the wheels. (thats where I keep my tools and race bike).

Welcome to the family and Congrats on the BumbleBee. It looks great! You will definitely love the FZ1. It's a awesome bike. Plenty of power with it being stock...Or you could be like some others here and change the sprockets that way you can fly to the moon..LOL.

When my chain dies I will remove a tooth or 2 from the rear. But the chain looks good and so do the sprockets!

I had a pirelli angel front with 40% left so I mounted that and bought a new 180 rear. My favorite touring tires, great in wet and at a lean!
