Hey let me know when you got the Gen 1 Covers done and ready! My order will in and the money will be sent via PayPal.

Just a tip here, as you can see from photo #2, I cut away all the plastic cross bars from the stock cover. This leaves you basically a frame to mount to and allows for maximum airflow to the radiator. Not totally necessary but I recommend it.

Note,the side edging for installation purpose pinches the stock piece and the new guard. This is important, it eliminates any vibration and really snugs the entire kit up.

Installed it. Good piece of craftmanship and instructions. Only thing I wish that it looked more golden.

Yeah, the gold really matches the 08 wheels almost perfect. The forks are brighter and a difficult match being so close to the guard.

I didn't cut out the cross bars and I have put a few hundred miles on. I think I will pull it off and trim out all the plastic and make sure I get maximum cooling. Here is a pic.

Obligatory shot after the install. I did not remove the two vertical plastic braces as well as two of the pieces in the middle of those two uprights. This keeps the new guard from ever touching the radiator in the event something large nails that new grill!

And no... I have not washed it since the Saturday ride.
