The reservoir will not be able to be relocated. You will need to purchase the correct shock.

Because of the 1 piece design of the shock body. If if were a shock body designed for a remote reservoir, the shock can be modified to use different shaft lengths with different lower mounts.
Going back to Dicko's suggestion, I'd try and locate a Satan's adapter as that is the only possible way I can see this shock fitting a Gen II bike. Since Richard doesn't post here, I have but one choice to link back to his thread on the other site:

This is specifically for the R1 shock which I believe is what your Ohlins was designed to fit initially. So, if you find one or buy from Richard, make sure it is the new model that mounts the reservoir to the rear and not the front.
