Cmon ride the R1, you know you want to!! I have to modify everything I own. Its an on going joke at my place because I reckon nothing has been built right until I have modded it!

Your bike mod obsession sounds like how I am with home improvements!! Bikes I have owned - BSA Bantam, Hodaka Super Rat, Suzuki T250, Kawasaki Mach 111, Honda XL 250, Yamaha IT400C, Yamaha DT 400C, Yamaha XT 500C, Yamaha IT 175F, Yamaha IT 175H, Yamaha RD 250LC, Yamaha FJ 1100, to current FZ1N. Nothing exotic but all good fun. I missed 15 years of riding so mine are pretty dated. Ok......I'll get a ride on an R1!!! Cheers.

How would that affect performance?

I haven't tried it for two reasons, 1)It looks like a $15 exhaust tip that you can find at Auto Zone. Not sure what the black area is. 2) I'm sure it has no baffles and is too loud for normal street use.
