easy as pie dude... it should bolt right up to the mid-pipe... from there, since it has a welded tab for the hanger, just make a bracket that goes from the existing strap mount to the new tab.. in my mind... I'm picturing something that kind of looks like a dogbone... painted flat black... hole in each end, one bolted to the passenger peg in the stock hole, the other side bolted to the pipe....
other idea would be to make a triangle shaped bracket for the new pipe that would use the 2 bolts at the top of the rear footpeg mount...
There may be an issue with clearance on the swingarm... but that's an easy fix by adding a section of pipe... spray it down with some 1500 degree grill paint, and you'll never even notice it's there....
If I had it in my hands, I could definitely make it work. .... Geezer fitted a Gen II Yosh onto his Gen I... so... it can be done... no big deal..
