Hi All,
Well today was going to be PCV Dyno Tune day but the mechanics workshop is 100km ride from home and it was raining heavy this morning, so it will be another day.....hopefully it will be before Xmas.
Something I did question after reading the PowerCommander manual was about gear calibration. The manual says:
"GEAR CALIBRATION
Once speed is calibrated you can then setup up gear
position if needed. Get the bike on a stand or dynamometer
and put the bike in first gear. Hold the throttle steady and
click on calibrate for gear 1. Repeat this step for all gears"
1)Can someone provide some more information about this or explain how this works?
2)Does this mean the A/F ratios are tuned on the PCV for everygear?
3)I was under the impression the dyno tune to set up the PCV was a run on the dyno in a selected gear (4th?) to check A/F ratios across the rev range and then the PCV was adjusted where required to get the optimal A/F r's?
Does this sound right?
Your feedback would be appreciated.
Cheers!
