Anyone else had an awesome ride today?

400 miles is quite a trek for one day, I'm impressed.

My right arm was killing me today after just 230. Had empty back roads, clear skys and high 70 degree temps. Perfect for riding.
Yeah, the distance isn’t a problem. The pace was a bit too fast. I tend to ride faster when solo. The bike just craves speed!

Oh yes….I finally did change my tires out. I’ll post a pic of the old ones tomorrow.

Trying to motivate myself for a ride today. Did 1100 miles of riding over 5 of the last 9 days, feeling it in my shoulders and hands. Hoping two Advil will make things right.

It's been a bone dry fall so far. Good for riding as it's not too hot. Going to be a dry, dull, burnt out fall foliage season in New England.

17.5k miles. Almost all highway commute. PR4s.

Replaced with the same (4th set) probably the last as they are getting hard to fine. Cheaper than the new Pilots. I’ll probably get those next time.

Got in 225 miles yesterday out to western Mass.

Stopped on the Deerfield River to watch kayakers and rafters as they passed under a railroad trestle that stands about 70" over the river. A group of people were walking near by so I put my helmet down between two rail road ties. I placed it upside down with my Held gloves stuffed inside.

After the people, kayaks and rafts had gone I turned and walked to the other side of the trestle I got about 5' away when I heard a breeze come up and knock my helmet over.

Walk back over to pick things up and as I looked thru the railroad ties on the trestle's surface I could see that one of my gloves fell out, dropped 70' and was floating palm side up in the middle of the river.

I stepped over to the railing looking down in despair........... it was like my glove was waving good bye to me.

After a few seconds I could see that it was going to at least float for awhile. So I picked up my helmet and other glove and ran down the steep embankment made up of loose gravel. Having my Sidi street boots, leather jacket and armored textile pants on made it all the worse.

Got down to the river and the wind across the river was working in my favor and ended up blowing it close enough to the bank to reach it with a long stick.

I had liberally cleaned these gloves earlier in the season with Boars Head leather treatment and I think that helped keep it from sinking. The only saving grace was there was no one else around to see my fail. Other than that a good ride.

Nice! Regardless of price. Ive heard those goat skin or reg leather Held gloves are the shit, specially after you break em in nicely. Good save. Glad you got it back.

I have another set of Held Steve gloves but being broken in is everything (we've been thru a lot together) and it would have bugged me no end to loose it.

Had another great ride. Up to Hawks Nest then over to Bear Mt with friends and a couple of stops along the way then back to NewJersey. About 400 miles with freinds.

Headed out this morning to a glorious Indigenous Peoples" Summer.

Got 1/4 mile and a car follows me into gas station to tell me my rear tire was going flat. Right he was.

Flipped around and plugged it at home in about 30 minutes. Gave me a chance to make sure my repair kit and pump were working well. The culprit was a very small diameter pin.

Still got in a 225 mile ride.

I had a great ride today, albeit short. I spooned on new Dunlop 605 tires on my WR250R and just had to try them out. I only rode about 25 miles, a mixture of tarmac and dirt. They work great.
