Redline is at 11,500 once the motor has 600 miles on it. Prior to that the ECU has the shift light come on at about 8,500 to 9,000 rpm. When I take it in for it's first service they reset the shift light via the ECU.
I have about 125 miles on her so far. I haven't hammered her hard yet, only gradual roll-ons at about 50 to 75% throttle. With the tour this weekend she'll be ready for the first service next week.
I'll shoot some video this weekend with the db killer out, it has a whole different sound! With the db killer out it's really too loud for me.
I'm still getting used to the bike too. The handling is SO quick, whereas the FZ1 was vary planted, almost lumbering incomparison. No that the FZ1 is slow handling, only that the Tuono is so quick. For a long tour the FZ1 is a better machine with the longer and slower chassis/wheelbase.
That video is spot on too. I'm not sure what he meant about it not being a good bike when in heavy traffic. I find it very easy to ride in traffic, and I like being upright so I can see around traffic easily. The clutch is very smooth, and both the throttle and clutch pull is very light so your hands don't cramp up.
