2006 lateral play in swingarm

I write this post after reading through various threads for an hour, so this may have been answered, but I have certainly done due diligence.

The background is fairly important too, my pristine dentless bike was just backed over, it's a friend so there is some discussion about not taking it to insurance. Looke like just about all the usual stuff got bent or scratched, but the frame was fine. Made a temp foot peg so I could really ride it while we come to a decision. Hadn't noticed anything on my commute miles, but as soon as I tried to hit some corners this weekend, something was definitely wrong. It felt like a bad wheel bearing or a tire going flat. Put it up on the center stand and sure enough, the swingarm can be shifted almost 1/8th of an inch side to side on it's mounting bolt. There is almost no up and down play, and at 30k miles I wouldn't think the swingarm bearings would be fine. Am I just hyper vigilant because just got hit, or is there some way the backing over could have done this?

As an after thought, I'll need some parts too :). Anyone have a bead on a dentless silver tank? Scratchless silver plastics? Pegs? Anyone successfully mounted adjustable clip ons? Thanks in advance guys.
