I did the same thing too and followed the...
I bought those same plates and I guess you're saying that in spite of their advertising to the contrary, you have to mod the plates to fit? My set have kind of a trench cast into one end, did yours and it just wasn't big enough??
That kinda of blows my theory.....the two wafers are prob the wafers for the different numbers between the keys?
Since my keys share only one number, guess i'd have to drop more wafers than you did...
I have one more locksmith place I want to try - next week after it drys out here and I...
Have never really checked here so see what the law says about where inspection sticker has to/should go, but any place I've gone uses a plate that mounts the tag and has a space below the tag for the sticker. Since this is removable, so it might not be that big of a deal in in TX.
The air...
Saw this when you posted it earlier......I may try this if I can't get it done by a 'smith using all 5 tumblers.
What you were able to do prob depends on the numbers of the two keys involved. If my two keys don't share three numbers, I suspect I'd have to drop more of those plates making...
My last one at the stealership this year - guy turned the key on, realized my bike had 476miles on it, turned it off, came back inside and did the paperwork. Cost $14.75.....
The car is def not for real.....this tech is being used in mag-lev trains, and quite successfully, but that is a captured system, completely diff than what was shown in this clip.
Unfortunately, that's not what I've run into - stealership was a zero as far as helping - figured they'd at least know a locksmith with the yamaha lock kits, but zero help from them.
Been to the locksmith I've had re-key several house door locks prior to installing and he told me its simple...
I have been using a Canyon Dancer harness since '97 when I got my CBR600. I don't have ratchet straps and have never noticed mine bending the bars. My tie down points are forward so it pulls the bike toward the cab of my truck.
You may be using too much tension when you're strapping the bike...
On the rear bag - no, it really doesn't have a lock, but with the dual zippers, they can be a lot less than obvious, so I've never worried about it.
This bag straps to the rear seat and I usually don't use it unless I'm going somewhere and will be out for a while. I bought Sargent seats so...
My Dad landed on the 2nd or 3rd day after D Day iirc what I've been told. He was 18 at the time and stayed in Europe 4 yrs. He was in Germany when they surrendered. He bought back an officer's dress sword and dagger and a huge swastika flag that his unit took when they liberated a town in...
Yeah, posted a while back, this is mine -

The plate the lock mounts on is sandwiched between the frame and the pass peg mount. Kit includes new, slightly longer bolts. The new bolts are security Torx bolts so you need the security type Torx...
I installed my helmet lock a while back and have had no success finding a locksmith that could key it to my ignition key. Its pretty obvious that it can be done since the tumbler cylinder in the helmet lock is accessible and comes apart easily. The stealership was a zero as far as help on this...
Yeah, this seems to go on more than not - I'm apparently in same situation with the Yosh full system I ordered from JC Motors.....
Indicated to be in stock and order has yet to ship or update from last Friday.....
I'm only a little heavier than you at 150 (maybe a little less) and found backing off one ring on the forks preload and one notch on the rear spring made mine pretty much spot on for sag. I went 2 clicks softer on both compression and rebound for the forks and rear shock as well.
That made a...
