Checking Rotor - FZ1OA Message Board OK, OK...I guess I'll just go ahead and do it...

So I just picked up another FZ1. It's a 2009 with 7,000 miles on it. I keep reading about these rotor magnet failures and I am wondering if this is something I should replace in the near future. Am I riding a ticking timebomb? :oops:;) Is this considered something that is a "must do" item...

Well, I guess hogging out the frame is one way to do it... The right way would have been to loosen the mount bolts and support the engine then get the holes lined up and re-install and tighten the bolts...
