Have a look at the Wilbers 641 as well. That is what I am running, with adjustable height, and it's great! Definitely not in the Ohlins price range. I only wish I had added the hydraulic preload for 2up riding but otherwise it's perfect.
Good luck with the sale. I've had an older version of this boot for 4-5 years now, still holding up perfectly well. Best boots I've ever had. Excellent protection without the bulk.
+1 for techspec. Had them on for 4 years now and not a single issue. I also have a set of stompgrip but never used it because it looked like it was more grip than I needed.
I'm using an Airhawk on top of the stock FZ1n pillion seat. It doesn't provide anything in terms of helping you stay fixed on the bike, but it does make longer rides much more comfortable.
In terms of not moving during braking, TechSpec grips on the tank and both driver+passenger using more leg...
If you want good antifog, make sure you get the optional pinlock insert. And for noise, the chin curtain. Webbikeworld review says they used to include both but now they are optional. That's a shame but they are well worth it. I've never had any fog with my pinlock insert on shoei and schuberth...
It lets you remove the exup motor without causing an error in the computer. Removing the motor saves weight and space, and you can use the exup motor mounts to put in a fabricated shelf where you can place other things like the power commander. Usually when you upgrade your exhaust, it'll come...
I have tried two types of bar-end mirrors. One that replaces the bar end weights, and one that just goes on the end of the stock weights with a longer bolt.
I am very satisfied with the second approach. They are cheap, sturdy, and you don't get extra vibration caused by the missing weights...
Of course you don't NEED to, but everyone that has done it so far is very satisfied with the results, including myself. The bike was pretty smooth with the sub-throttle plates, FCE and ignition module, but the re-flash takes that smoothness to a whole new level. It's perfect, and for the...
+1 for Scorpion. I got it because of the E-markings, otherwise I'd have problems here in Switzerland. It has since been checked over by the police once and I had no problems :-)
I didn't realize that they had a lifetime warranty, but it's holding up nicely after 5 years and I don't think...
Sorry I missed page2 of this thread :-) So I was basically echoing what everyone else said.... Either way, it's money well spent, but so is money spent on good gear.
The goal of the reflash is not to make a wheelie machine - that's just a side effect of removing the timing restriction in lower gears. The main benefit of the flash is how incredibly smooth it rides.. getting on and off the throttle, small throttle openings, everything feels like a finely...
Put on some Oxford Hot Grips. Not sure about the placement of the controller, but it was the only place where the provided bracket would fit. Had to grind it down a bit to clear the engine kill switch.
Just waiting for a relay now - it's hooked up directly to the battery at the moment which...
I think Ivan's focus on the TPS adjustment is because his flash+map puts a lot of emphasis on throttle on/off transitions, where you have a very small throttle openings. You really have to ride a bike with his flash to see how smooth he managed to get this - it's incredible. But it also...
I think you can go with any flash and see a great improvement. The key things being fixed are timing restrictions in lower gears and removing fuel cut. Those right there will give you a great bang for the buck.
If you have the money for a PC3/5 or already own one, then going with Ivan's...
