I bought my `05 used with the Skiman seat mod already performed (about 1/2" of foam trimmed from the back of the pilot's seat). I liked the seating height and I've had no "sliding toward the tank" like many mention with the unmodified seat. What I didn't like was that it was bloody hard - I...
Dirt Road Seat Upgrade
I need to reupholster and refoam my Gen 1 seat. How is your Dirt Road seat holding up and feeling after a year? Mine had the oft-performed Skiman's 1/2" cut-down mod performed by the previous owner. I like the seat position but the stock foam is just way too firm for me.
I purchased my `05 this winter and noticed that my right leg was kept warmer than my left leg – not a problem, just warm. Now that the outside temp is rising it’s becoming uncomfortable. It seems that if the ambient temp exceeds about 85 the air blowing on my right leg becomes quite...

Billy - I believe the tail graphics are stock for `05. Several ads I saw while looking for mine mentioned the checkerboard graphics.
Johnny - Yeah, I'm gonna have to do some polishing up front. Unless Delkevic builds a header for our bikes soon - the've got them for many others, and under $200.
I just installed Delkevic's mid-length can on my `05. It arrived in three days and was well packaged. Fit is very good and installation took about 30 minutes. It has a pad for the center stand bumper. I removed the baffle before installation. It has a nice mellow tone and is not loud at...
