Throttle was quite snatchy, but I thought the same thing about the FZ6 when I first rode it so I figured I'd just get used to it. It'll be interesting to try out the '03 model to see the difference. I'm interested on the Z1000 as well. It was recommended by a friend so I'm going to try it out.

I took the centre stand off my FZ6 because I think the bike looks MUCH better without it. I still need to get a paddock stand but I may wait until I upgrade.

If I went with the retro kit, I'd order it from the shop that way - along with an aftermarket exhaust, etc...

I'm considering this or a Triumph Sprint ST.

Welcome to the site! I'm planning on 'upgrading' from my FZ6 to an FZ1 sometime in the not too distant future. They look like great bikes.

since I'm on the FZ6-forum site as well. I thought I'd join up here since an FZ1 will probably be my next bike when I'm ready to 'graduate' from the 600.
