You could pick up a brand new 2011 FZ8 for round about your price...Maybe even a second hand one with a few tweaks and low mileage? It'll take a full luggage system, doesn't have the top end the FZ1 has but down low is alot of fun. Comfortably chews up the distant rides and goes well pushing...

Just grab one from the states mate...I bought a Shoei nearly 3 years ago from the states and have never had a non sticker issue. Unless you plan on taking it to the track, you'll be fine.

The biggest reason for the price difference between us here in Oz and you guys in the states is buying power. With a much larger customer base, importers in the States can bring in thousands compared to maybe hundreds tops here in Oz. I think I'll be saving for the first lot of second hand...
