When i was at the dealership putting the FZ on consignment i took a Versys 1000 for NICE ride .
The Versy is super smooth , instead of a big rush of power it spreads it out over the rev limit perfectly in each gear .
I did notice the ktrac kick on and off WAY more than the TC on the Super Ten . The ABS was way more noticable on the Kawi also.
The bags are kinda small and looks like you need tools to remove ??
The seat was very comfy ,the shield was bad but was adjustable.
The bike felt lighter than it 500 pounds and is very flickable .
I liked the Versys better than the FZ1, and the big vstrom however NOT better than an honda ST 1300 Super Tenere , Concours, or FJR
I did not like the burnt orange !! The first LEO i came up to gave me a dirty look like if i didnt have something to do i would pull you over !!

Watching the 4-8 year old kids on there 50cc bikes will put a smile on anyones face

Nice! I wish I would have started dirt riding you. I always tell my friends that if they see me that high in the air they should be dialing 911 before I even hit the ground.

Oohh yeah i bet your KTM is a rocket !!
It is an advantage having dirt/woods experience . Rain ,snow, gravel, wet grass, hydroplaining become GOOD scary !!

I got the ECU flashed on the Super Tenere !! Holy cow what a difference Really freed the motor up.

It was pretty easy putting on the headers since the radiator is on the left side And the battery and electronics are on the right

Thanks Dustin I think the max gain is 10-15 HP so ill have 100 hp at the wheel.

I replaced my stock air breather with a couple of big ass Uni filters [emoji15][emoji15]
I also loaded a fatter map to the PCV.
I love this bike more and more everyday

Yeah there pretty neat . A big spring goes inside the velocity stacks then the filter and pre filter go over the velocity stack . I was running out of steam NEED MORE AIR .

The 100,000 km quest begins
I was out for a cool and damp fall ride with a couple of buddies today. We were rained on right away and a few times during the ride but managed to find some sun. I pieced together my favorite green-lanes into a big loop and despite some very greasy mud along some of them none of us crashed. I got completely sideways on one mud hole but salvaged it and stayed upright (and eventually un-puckered....).
It was 99,331 when I got home.

Now if only they would sponsor me, with a complete engine refresh! :cheerleader: Then I could put on another 100,000 plus.
The forecast for next Saturday is a high of 3 degrees and flurries so it will be a challenge these last 668 kms.
