Which 530 chain?

Ballmead did you have to buy a longer chain for the 17/49 setup? And do you think it works with a 55 tire?

I bought a 130 link chain but only needed 124 links for it to fit. I'm running a 50 series tyre so I can't comment on whether it fits or not.

I have 45,000klms on mine and still good for a while yet, turned the front sprocket over around 30,000klms

I had a renthal x- chain (gold) on my last bike looked nice but chopped it in a few thousand miles later.My last Stock chain lasted about 25000 miles going one tooth up on the back but keeping the 17 on the front will acheive ...... a better acceleration + overtaking ?

I doubt you'd notice the +1T on the rear very much. I'd go - 1 on the front or 3+ on the rear for better acceleration and drive off the mark.

I only want better not extreme would that knock the gears out much on a gear indicator ? How much more length of a chain or would standard chain still fit ?

It's not extreme, do a search for 16T front sprocket, it's a recommended mod for those of us that want better acceleration.
