It's ironic how we become jaded to what we have in our own backyards and go looking for adventure and beauty elsewhere, human nature I suppose. I have been wanting to do a trip to Colorado to do the passes around Telluride. Cinnamon Pass, Black Bear pass, Mosquito pass all look fantastic and so much easier than anything that we have here. Most of our passes are only used by snowmobile in winter and too steep and overgrown in summer (I know I tried).
There just never seems to be enough time in two weeks to do a trip like that justice.
I am already in the planning stages for another trip to Washington, Oregon, and back for a possible 2014 trip. It is fairly ambitious for a 2 week plus run though, being mostly off-road again.
