Time for a new battery

I was thinking about putting a male cigarette lighter end on my charger and plugging it into my 12v power outlet instead of removing the seat every time.

Thats a good idea Yam. I didn't think of that. I have the power plug on the fairing insert but remove my seat every day to charge the battery. I'll have to look in my "junk" drawer because I think I have a male plug in there somewhere. Thanks for the idea!

I ordered the motobatt mbt14b4 yesterday. 85 bucks shipped, hope it does well! Push starting my baby sucks. Lol
Let us know how your mottobatt battery goes, they are a lot cheaper than most, which worries me a little.I have one in a 200cc bike which work`s find, just don`t know if they will be powerful enough for the FZ1.

i called the distributor mentioned in the earlier posts, no way i could get the battery for 35 bucks. no idea how he did that, but i managed 85 shipped. i see plenty of good about them online, we will see though.

i received that motobatt battery from carolina energy distributors back in july, it now dead i believe. severasl days of sitting iin the cold killed it, then a jump from the truck and 20 mile ride did nothing to crarge it back to life. i am calling them about warrenty today. other than this, the battery worked great, very powerful no slow starts.

re

talked to them over lunch break, they are shipping me out a replacement underwarrenty today. i have to mail them a piece of label off the battery, thats it. they were great to work with.
