Official YZF Makeover Thread

Man, I don't know that I could wait that long. That feels like an eternity these days. At least you have a bunch of other rides to jump on in the meantime!

It's killing me not having a bike yet. No snow here, clean roads and 70's with sun all damn week!!! :shame:

Both turn signals and the brand new Fuel Petcock from Partshark.

Here they are mounted in the mid-panels. I think they look sweet! I hated those flush mounts!

Tomorrow is the light kit on the trailer and the wiring. Wednesday I'll go and register it, and Saturday it's off to Ivans!!! I can't wait!

Glad all the parts arrived. Those turn signals look to be in nice shape and they look so much better than those flush mounts that were on there.

Believe it or not, the $3 dollar light was literally "like new", and the $14 dollar light looked terrible. I had to disassemble it at work and put it back together. The Petcock looks beautful. Gotta love shiny new parts!!

2 to 4 weeks my god man it took me two hours. I need to go into buisiness for myself. :rmwl:

I know John, , , but, besides them being swamped with work it's actually only a two man shop, I figured I could cut them some slack on the time. Besides, I have four other bikes that I can get out on and, I am having them order in the replacement parts that I wanted. ( I could do the ordering it but I thought I would let them get 'em and mark them up their 10% or so.)

And besides, if it takes waaay to long to get them going on it, I can always bring it home and pay for the parts, no problem . . .. :evillaugh:

Thats a cool little trailer. Does your olds have a hitch on it?

Yeah, Tony and I.....well, mostly Tony, installed a hitch on it when we made the trip to Deal's Gap.

Yea, it looks pretty light. I bet my Accord could tow that w/o a problem if it was able to tow the UHaul one when I picked up the Hawk.

Oh yeah, this is much lighter than the UHaul Trailer, even the smaller UHaul. The total shipping weight is 264lbs. Add in another 20lbs for the plywood and your still under 300lbs. Thats a cinch for your Honda to pull. Like I said, anytime you need it just come and get it!

Trailer Registered

Well, after 2 hours sitting in the DMV, I finally got the trailer registered. 2 hours to wait to be called, and then 20 minutes while the lady tried to prove to me that it needed insurance after I repeatedly told her that according to the DMV website it didn't. I think I asked Pete or Jeff how much they paid to register their trailer and they told me $12 bucks. Well here in NY it costs $50.50 dollars!!! Unbelievable!!!

Well at least you got it done! Dealing with DMV employees, especially incompetent ones, is never fun :(
