Anyone ELSE Love the Gen II Stock Pipe Sound?

Maybe it's because it sounds so much better than my stock FZ6, but I love the low, controlled growl of the stock pipe on my 2010. Or, maybe it's because it's all black?....:Rockon:

Oh sure, I may want a different pipe later, but I actually like it as is. Anyone else?
 
I didn't like it at first and got the Two Bros. Now, with my wife's bike on the stock can and after riding Norm's FZ1 in FL, I have a new-found appreciation for the stocker! So yes, I do! I painted my two caps with high-temp matte black because I anticipate putting it back on when the Two Bros packing is used up.
 
Maybe, just maybe it will sound like this: "See sweetie, I don't NEED a new pipe on the bike--it sounds great as is. But this windshield, and this Corbin Smuggler...."....8-)

I had no problem with the sound, even the looks didn't really bother me. It was the 13 lbs of beef that bothered me. When I added hard bags I changed to a slip on the negate the weight gain, more than anything. The fact that the MIVV GP really looked good as well didn't hurt.
 
One thing both Norm and I noticed is how Yamaha somehow balanced the bike with that heavy canon mounted. With the stock exhaust, we can let go of the bars and ride straight as an arrow. When I do the same on my bike with the Two Bros, I have to lean to the left to compensate for the lighter can... :confused:
 
I am happy with the stock pipe, there are alot bigger and uglier standard pipes out there.Also I like the noise of the standard pipe and bike run`s sweet no popping etc.I had after market pipes on a hornet 919 sounded great but if you went on a tip for several day`s it became very annoying, guess I must be getting old.
 
There may be a used Two Brothers Titanium with the P4 tip (removable) installed up for sale soon... I'm on the fence but the whole exhaust being blacked out makes it more attractive.
 
I have done a few cosmetic mods to my FZ1n but left the stock pipe for two reasons, I like the asymetrical and stubby look and secondly I fear getting an aftermarket pipe and it causing too much drone noise while riding (for me or pillion), I don't want to regret the decision if I change it.

Oh yeah, and then there's that. Maybe a single side bag to balance?....:disturbed
 
Hey can the stock pipe mods, please post picks of your works.
Getting a slip on is easy, just shell out some cash is u have it available but modding the stocker takes talent.
