Z-1 Hot Seat

Doing bunch of rides with Patriot Guard Riders lately and noticed how uncomfortable and HOT my FZ1 seat becomes after 1-hr!!! By HOT, I mean my bum feels like its cooking. Went on line to vet aftermarket seat for pilot and passenger, gagged at prices [Corbin].

Any recco's?

Aftermarket seats aren't going to help the heat issue much if any. I don't find any hot seat issues on my FZ1. My guess is that the lower coolant temps seen in bikes with the ignition and perhaps fueling mods ease the "hot seat" into a non issue. Some members have installed insulating foil+foam tactically to block the heat from the seating area . . .

You could also install a variable fan controller to turn your fan on sooner.
