your tax money at work

I was in the southern California last week on my FJR and came across this Apache at a small landing strip out in the desert. When I stopped to check it out a soldier came up to talk to me and to my surprise he was a Britt!

They were over here for desert training as our desert is much like Northern Africa. These guys had been up all night making repairs to get the copter up and going. Had a nice chat with the chap and thanked him for his service.

Thought you English tax payers might want to see your money at work.

Very cool find. Glad they didn't shoot you.

Do they fly on the wrong side of the sky too? :confused0024:

Ha, as a matter of fact they did. Look close and you can see him fly by me on my left. I wicked the Feejeer to a buck 29 and stayed up with him for a bit until I ran out of straight road. I figure he was doing about 130-150?? Hard to tell but it did take some time for him to pull away from me.
