Yamaha Gel seat

Hi I have just fitted a genuine yamaha gel seat to my 08 FZ1 and can say having just ridden 60mls is a great improvement over the stock unit.Would recommend this mod,got mine on E-bay used but as new saved £40.

Oddly, I have just refitted my standard seat because I think it may be more comfortable ( for me ) than the Yamaha 'Comfort Seat' I also have....:teeter:

I was lucky enough to have a Yamaha gel seat already installed when I bought my bike. It is pretty comfortable and has never been an issue on my 200+ mile rides. Maybe I'll install the stock seat one day to see how bad it really is...

I've always wanted to try a gel seat, but my '07 came with a Corbin, and I've been very happy with it. I haven't experienced the stock seat either, but I'm not sure I want to. I have the stock seat, but I'm not sure it has the necessary hardware on it to attach it.

I have both and swap them sometimes but for touring I only use my Yamaha gel seat.:cowboy:

Yea, I don't think you'll want to try the stock seat either...lol. However if you do ever want to experiment with it the mounting hardware from the Corbin should transfer over to the stock seat.
