"custom" choppers are more form than function. If you're on this site you are likely a "function" type of rider. Likely why we're FZ1 riders. I ride my Gen1 FZ more than any other bike in the garage. But I still can look at a Harley ( or Indian) or anything else and and appeciate the work and vision put into it. The SR build was a computer driven plan from the start. Well planned and well built. The JR bike is more of the "chop" of the two. Ideas made into realality by cutting and chopping. Both are ways to build a custom bike. I have chopped up bikes to make them better looking, better running, better handleing ext... it's all about what the builder wants to do. I like the JR bike more. IMO it shows more passion and sweat over a high dollor prototype.

These ARE built as forms of art and aren't supposed to be daily riders. They are for show only, much like a vintage car one would restore for shows and competitions.

I like the flow of Jr's bike better than the sharp edges of Sr's bike. Granted Cadillac has cars that show both lines but when I think of Cadillac, I think of smooth, sleek and refined. Sr's bike reminds me of the older days where a Cadillac was a land barge moving on an asphalt river in the city. Jr's bike is more like the speedboat on the intercoastal. ;)

I don't know that I've ever own a bike like these customs but I'd sure love to try them out just to see what the experience is. For me, biking isn't all speed and corners all the time. I can easily take a day of just enjoying the ride.

IF I had to pick one, I would go for the second one. However, to me both are show pieces that cannot be used, so I don't care for them.

Great work, very skilled indeed, just not my cup of tea.

Ditto. Nuff said... I do respect the creativity and crafsmanship and believe the second one captures the characterisitics of the caddy better .. without having the need for "Caddilac" Logos everywhere...

That said pretty big cost for paper weights... lol

What do you mean 'used'? They have motors, ignitions, brakes, suspension and wheels--they can be used. Do you mean because they're not 200MPH hypersport bikes? Or because you can't load them up with luggage for 5 people & tour the world on one tank of fuel? I've watched a few episodes of OCC in the past and also saw a nice segment of them when Ewan and Charlie visited on Long Way Round; those bikes seem to work just fine.

They're obviously talking pieces; bikes designed to make people stare at you and draw attention. A bike like that goes to some wealthy person where it will be used to show off to other wealthy people cruising down a wealthy street in a wealthy city. ;)

That's what makes motorbikes unique; there's something for everyone. A lot of people would scoff at bikes like the FZ1 for its obvious deficits too.

You don't really question a sport bikes superiority in handling compared to a chopper do you?

Choppers are for posers. People who like to dress up and play outlaw on the weekends.

I don't even understand what you're trying to say here. :D

Who the hell cares what people do with their bikes? Really, every demographic of bike has lameass posers--there's plenty of posers out there with FZ1s too. Sorry to break it to you :D
