What did you do to your FZ today?

Wolfy that bearing is a shocker!! Good thing you got to it before it seized. The exhaust looks awesome. Did they really make a one-off for your Gen I? That's impressive!

Yeah I'm glad it didn't seize either though hindsight makes me think it was heading that way.

I don't think my muffler is a one off. They have several styles. Another one caught my attention first so I asked if it was available for the gen 1. He said they only needed to put the listing up. I asked that he wait to do I could be sure I wanted it. I ended up deciding on this one after a few bad photo chops with the other styles.

They had a listing up within 24 hours of my request! Took me longer to finally purchase.

Installed my badly needed rear wheel bearings. Didn't know about the clip and broke the bearing puller I bought just for this. I have to find the reciept so I can take it back to the store.

This was a result of my ignorance. I didn't know they needed checking. I didn't know how to check them. Now that I know, that won't happen again.

Hopefully I'll get better pics tomorrow. Had to test the new bearings! :flash:

My new exhaust. It's a GPR Speed Cone that's black stainless steel that has been chemically treated not painted with a silver kevlar end cap. I had to ask them to make one for the gen 1. Got it from this ebay seller: Negozi eBay - motochepassionesrl su eBay.it

Shipping was super fast from Italy, they shipped it on Monday and I got it yesterday morning.

I assume you know Italian, LOL :D

Passed 8K miles so I had the second servicing done. I also ordered a set of Michellin PR3's. Only the front one came in so I have to go back this week on Wed. when it comes in.

installed clear alternatives clear taillight with integrated signals. i like them, and the clear matches the silver well, but the tech support guy said that the taillight on the side that is blinking should cancel out, but they dont..still look good, but when the brake lights are on, it is hard to see the signal led's. My gold sprocket and did chain will be in tuesday, as well as the protons for the front.

Installed a new rear PP2CT in preperation for next weeks trip to Phillip Island. Just hope the weather improves. :shine:

Got out for a bit of breakfast and had my local shop install my USB port for me.

I had the USB port installed under the bar just to make it a little less conspicuous.

Picked up a set of plugs. Time for some Fall maintenance. By the way I was able to get these iridium plugs on eBay for less than the cost of the regular copper ones :D

Just bought my 3rd set of tires this year for the FZ today. I think the BT 16 on it now have about 600 miles left on them but I don't think they will pass track inspection next week:(

Took the rear db eater out of the new muffler just to hear out it sounds.

Compared to with it in (this is a better sounding clip than I linked to before)

Still have try it with the front db eater installed.

He hated it! I had him strapped to me, that's why the vid is so shakey (shakier) than the other one.

I'm keeping the rear killer in, it's really loud without it when I'm just in the driveway. I know with the rear killer in it sound good going down the road. Next video will be on the bike on Blood Mountain or one of the other roads I've got tons of video on so I can compare the old rs1 with the new gpr.
