After much searching I found a place where I could get some "goodies" for the bike that I've been eying for quite a while. More details to follow in a few weeks when I actually have them ;) For now let's just say my bike is pretty much going to end up looking like this attached pic :D

Belly pan

I have been thinking about the belly pan for some time. The Gen 1s look great with it and so do the Gen 2s. It just seems to accentuate the lines and add an aggresive look. Not as convinced about the "sport scoops" but I will keep an open mind.

Where did you find those "sport scoops" at? I have never seen those before

They are a Yamaha accessory for the bike in just about every market, but the US. I bought mine in Europe as I couldn't find a good price on them in Canada. I will post all the details once I receive them and let everyone know how the transaction went.

Well the package arrived today, but I got home too late to go pick it up at the post office. Can't wait to install the new parts! Pics to follow :D

Some teaser pics...

If I get around to installing them today I will start a new thread and post some better pics.

In the words of Borat," VERY Niiiice" "How much".

The pictures on the Yamaha site made it look like the belly pan was 3 pieces with the center "scoop" a bolt on. I have seen a few now and they all look like one moulded part. How heavy is it?

Should look great!

Well they weren't cheap that's for sure, but if you want something unique for your bike then you gotta pay. Sort of like the Copperdog stuff in my book...

I got them from here so do the math ;). Shipping was a very reasonable £30 for both items.

Yes, I think Yamaha recently changed their manufacturing process and went to a one piece design. Not heavy at all, sport scoops and lower cowl probably 5-6 lbs at most including mounting hardware.

NICE!!!! Ok... go install 'em! PICS!!! :D

Then, take them off, create a mold, fiberglass some up and sell us sets? ;)

you gonna revive the original thread where someone was asking for a set to make a mold, to then sell to the US brethren??

Sorry guys...Probably not. Once these go on my bike they are not coming off again and to tell you the truth I don't want to take any "chances" shipping them back and forth. Plus I really don't have the time to mess with my bike much, well that is unless I don't want to ride...lol

Well here are some pics of the sport scoops. Ran into a bit of difficulty with the lower cowl. They were hitting the headers in one spot and I noticed that a couple of the header tubes aren't completely seated where they join the 2-->1 pipe. I know others have the lower cowl with the Yosh R-77 exhaust so I just need to play with it another day. After I installed the scoops I didn't even go for a ride. Spent the rest of my afternoon working on the YZF1000 and made good progress, but there is still lots more to do. Enjoy the pics and eventually I will post better ones.

The red ones look cool also.
I payed more than that when I ordered my second set damn you for not doing it sooner.

I have been wanting to add the lower cowl to mine but im broke everythime im looking at them lol.

Pic of my bike with my second set of scoops.

Somehow they look good only on the red and silver bikes. Chin cowl, sport scoops, full fairings are kind worthless and conspicuous on a black bike.

Though I still wonder aftermarket has not caught up with all the OEM stuff except for chin cowl, splash guard, radiator covers, tank cover, tank sides and seat sides.

Did you get the lower cowl installed?
I may get one for my bike but I havent made up my mind on it yet.

No, not yet. I have to take apart my Yosh headers to better adjust the head pipes. Last Sunday I ended up working on my other bike so hopefully I get around to it this Sunday. Will post some pics with the bike outside when I get it all done ;)

It looks great so far "T". I really want to see some progress pics on the YZF.

Thanks, if I work on it this weekend I'll post some. I spent 3-4 hours on Sunday bolting some stuff back on and cleaning. However, at the end I felt like I had not made much progress. Triple tree is back on and I started to take apart the forks. Seals and metal slides are on order so once I get those I'll be able to complete the forks and start putting the front end back together. Here's a teaser pic of the passenger pegs all cleaned and ready to be bolted back on ;)
