Upper triple clamp

I've got a 07 fz1 with aftermarket clip ons. It's been lowered but I want to raise it back up to factory and keep the clip ons. I've read somewhere just can't remember where that a R1 upper clamp will work with rise clip ons. Does anyone know what year r1 clamp fits the fz1 without much modification?

Sorry to say, the R1 has a different head angle and offset (24 vs 25 degrees). The angle of the tubes in the upper and lower triple is different enough that you cannot swap between the two (R1-FZ1) without stressing the clamps.

That being said, you can swap the full R1 triple headset ('07-08) without too much problem. See FZ1OA Thread for info.

If your clipons require the fork tubes to be raised above the triple clamps, you will likely be better served by using accessory risers on the FZ1 upper and finding a suitable handlebar.
