Hey everyone. First of all 2001 FZ1. Did some steering head bearing service today, still having the high speed wobbles at about 130mph with hands on handlebar, no handed she starts to wobble around 60. I know i need to go looser but I do not have a manual, what is the spec for fall away? Is there a spec for using a scale Nm or Ft-Lb? Also i was hoping to do a valve adjustment tomorrow, what is the standard valve clearance for a gen 1 FZ1? Do they tend to run tighter or looser between valve jobs? Last what is the freeplay for the exup valve? ( I may be calling it the wrong name for Yamaha, but its the exhaust tuning valve within the exhaust pipe.) Any input would be much appreciated, these FZ1's are fantastic bikes lets keep emm on the road!!!
