Top Sellerie Seats.

When building custom seats on their website for shape it asks for short or long. I understand the raised or lowered options but does anyone know what they change for the short and long options? Also does anyone have a Top Sellerie gel seat and how do they like it?
 
Top Sellerie seat

I have the long, lowered, gel seat. The long is for us Americans with bigger seats (at least bigger than the French). Someone on this site recommended getting the long and I'm glad I did! It moves the upright portion of the seat further back. I got mine lowered due to being short and Top Sellerie recommended the gel to compensate for the less padding. Some people don't like the gel due to heat issues when left in the hot sun but I've had no problems with the this seat. I love the seat and can ride hours now in comfort.

Well I live in Ohio and my debate is the gel that much more comfortable to justify dealing with it getting hot in the sun. Thank you for the explanation on the long and short. That is kinda what I figured but I knew someone here would have a definite answer. I am asking about it mostly because I just got some Sargent seats and am not thrilled with how comfortable they are. The shape is good but to me it feels as if there is no padding at all. So my real debate is do I sell the Sargent seats and order top Sellerie seats now. My other option is I am going to be in Paris in the beginning of August and I saw on their website they have a store there so do I wait till I am there and can check out the seats in person and maybe even buy them myself there and ship them back.
 
I don't know about the rest of you, but when I ordered my Top Sellerie they dropped the price of the seat to compensate for the shipping price. But if you're going to be there you may as well look at the seat and test it to see if it's to your liking. We all have different tastes when it comes to seating. Personally I love my Top Sellerie seat, it has increased my comfort riding time by a large amount.:tup:
