Top box

Hi, I just joined to get information about Givi top box for my 2001 fz1. (stock with 94k miles/ had for 18yrs with nothing but regular maintenance) Givi says the rack only holds 13 pounds. mono key top case is 10 pounds and is rated Max carrying 22 pounds. The math doesn’t add up! I know I can load more but the topbox & base plate are at the racks rated limit-then add up to 22lbs. Does anyone used this setup or similar? Wanting topbox with back rest for passenger. Thanks

Not sure about specific weights sorry…but I will tell you I I have loaded it full plenty of times. With probably 25lbs+ inside the box.

Yeah, I have the givi 40 top box and have loaded it up pretty good too. Never had a problem with it loaded or empty.

Yeah, I have the givi 40 top box and have loaded it up pretty good too. Never had a problem with it loaded or empty.

i have the givi monokey topbox(and side boxes) With whatever givi rack is made for the fz1

I believe it is the 40l. I do not ride with a pax
