throwback

Great pic

Not only does the old yamaha bring back some good memories but I remember my gramps rocking the funky polyester shirt and pants just like yours!

I looked at the original larger file scan that i have and do believe that it is an Imperial... Gramps was a car and motorcycle buff, always had a newer car in the carport. I mostly remember cruising around in his baby blue Pacer! He also had a Yamaha XS11 later in his life, which he gave me when I got into college, I put 45K on that beast and only ever changed tires and oil... loved that shaft drive.

Funny story about the XS, just after graduating, work moved me and my budding family up to Porland, OR. Summer riding was awesome! Fall came with the crappy weather, so I was planning on garaging it for the season. One day I came home and my wife gleefully :cheerleader: exclaims.."I sold your motorcycle today!!!!"

:banghead::mad:

You can always find another good moto! A good woman, on the other hand, is much, much harder to find. Kudos for finding a keeper, and so sorry you had to leave Portland!
