Think this is a good deal?

I haven't tried any on yet. I thought I might as well find a used pair instead of dumping a huge amount of money on new. I have been riding in mx boots or my work boots for to long its time for a decent set of boots. I just bought the icon variant helmet today and I'm buying some new gauntlets Friday when I pick up the helmet. The gold visor i purchased for it looks really mean.

Does that helmet give you a bunch of wind drag/buffeting? All the youtube motovloggers use that helmet. I think it looks cool but the Icon's don't fit well on my head.

The fly trekker that I currently have is very similar to the icon. My helmet pulls on my head very little under 100mph once you get above that it starts to get uncomfortable. The variant is supposed to be much better though and slices through the air.

I have the same boots and they are very narrow in the toe box. Thankfully they use a cardboard toe box and when VERY wet and worn for a LONG time, they will conform to your foot shape about 75%. It took 5hrs in driving rain but when I got home they fit pretty good. Then just thoroughly dried and nikwax treated.
Just take care if you take this route, as the rear cup is also cardboard and if walking around will also lose its shape.

I have a wide foot. I bought a set of used Sidi boot in my size (actually a slight bit bigger) and I could not even get my heel into the bottom of the boot. I gave up and got a pair of sport touring A* Ridge at a shop where I could try them on. They fit great and are water proof too. Not exactly what I wanted, but they fit and are better than my tennis shoes. I wish I had gotten a taller pair, but that's what the shop had.

The semi-local shop did price match, so that helped.

I might try a pair of A* Alpha Touring as they are taller and I assume have a very similar fit to the Ridge I have.

Sidi boots are good but a try on is a must. Like most European stuff they tend to run small and narrow compared to the normal US sizes.

I have found that I don't really need the high boots any longer, they give good protection but tend to be a hassle in day to day street riding. I've gone to the 3/4 size which gives good protection where needed but are easier to get on and off, and for walking around off the bike.

Joe Rocket makes a nice boot for about $180 which I wear (bought mine new on eBay for $105). Sidi and others also make these 3/4 style boot, Sidi calls them the APEX boot.

It's a pretty good price for a pair of Vertigos :) Do you know if Sidis fit you? They have a narrow fit in my experience

...

This was my personal experience as well. I don't have a wide foot, but had to go one size bigger than normal for my Sidi Way boots. On the plus side they were comfortable and broke in practically the first time I wore them.

I was going to say I found something today at a Cycle Gear shop

Street Gear - Men's Street Motorcycle Boots - Cycle Gear

but they are Sedici Laguna leather boot not Sidi Vertigo. Very nice boots though and only $80 new and they seemed just as nice as the A* next to them for $250.

I personally don't like used footwear but that's cause I know how nasty my feet are. LOL

The reviews are not so good. You get for what you pay. For gear I usually won't compromise on cheaper brands. However, the Bilt H20 Demon Sport gloves are really good and get good reviews..
