Thanks for the add

We ( black Betty) and I are glad to have joined this forum. My old girl and I have toured western Canada, Nw US for many years since 2009. Back out this summer after almost 70k. It occurred to me I have literally done nothing other than oil changes, air and fuel filters, chain and sprocket, brakes and a few sets of tyres. I am looking for some input. Seems I am way overdue on valve adjustment. What other pm or Maintenance should I consider? Part of me says if it ain’t broke don’t fix it. My fz has been a true road warrior. Just wanting to treat her well and “keep my feet on her pegs and right hand cranked” for many more years.

Welcome aboard and would love to see some pics!

A throttle body synch is usually done at the same time as a valve adjustment. Additionally, at that mileage, the oil in your forks is basically water at this point and is begging for a refresh! A check of all the bearings in the suspension, wheels, and steering head would be good as well.

Great info. Thank you. I did fork seals last year. So one off the list. Thoughts on flywheel rotor ?
Some pics I could find. From fort mcmurray to palm desert and Las Vegas. I can add some more if I ever figure out the iCloud. 52B71D8A-0B1A-4F2E-B43E-C8C0B077BE41.jpegBCCD9F96-0D2D-48C0-82DF-257F509FD4AD.jpegDCECC446-677F-4AE2-9FD6-2750ED977285.jpeg

Do you mean the stator rotor with the glued magnets? If so, then yes, I'd change that out asap! Chances are if it's held up this long, it's fine but I'd rather be safe than sorry! It only takes one magnet coming loose...

Great pics!
