Well I have the FZ8 and I'm trying to swap the forks so it handles better on the track. I think either will work but I would have to do some more research because I didn't know there were differences. What is the difference between the FZ1 and FZ2? Is one just newer? I think I need the newer forks mine being a 2012.

i think you're going to want R1 forks for track use, not FZ1 forks... EBay is your friend

Well, I was trying to stay away from changing out the entire front end. Because by the time I get an r1 front end. I'll be out as much as the ohlins upgrade for my forks.

Check out this link. Some of the R1 forks are a direct bolt-in for FZ1 forks... No sense wasting money on FZ1 forks if you're going to be riding the track all time IMO...

oke:04to06 R1 forks will slide right in. they only things you need are the MC, calipers and front axle. For the extra 100 bucks you would spend it would be well worth it.

Well they stopped making the FZ1 in 2005 and started making the FZ2 in 2006
