Well we got our once very two years snow fall last night. About one inch. Needless to say all of the schools are closed, and work was closed at about 9:00 am today. Laugh it up all you want but now it's sunny, 32 and I've got the day off! Besides the street into my neighborhood is an 18% grade so even one inch is a bit slick. So we had a snowball fight and sledding this morning before it all melts away for two more years.

Ya'll can have any amount of the 40+ inches we have sitting on the ground right now... with another three storms coming in next week... 6 - 8" on Saturday and who knows what's up for the other two storms. :D

Right now, it is questionable if my flight to go visit Norm in FL will be able to take off!

We got some snow in San Antonio also. Was supposed to march my first flight today at graduation but it was cancelled. On a bright note I am certified Instructor as of today.

It's 65 today here in So Cal. Had to water the lawn...

That's kind of what we are used to.
In fact just last week a lot of us were bragging about going riding because it was in the 60's. LOL Maybe it's KARMA!!!!!!! LMAO!!!!!!!

Seriously - I remember it snowing in San Marcos (20 min south of Austin) in 04-05. That was the same year it snowed at the Gulf Coast. HAHAHA Everyone was flipping out on that one.

Yea, it was colder this morning in Dallas than it was in Anchorage. Go figure.

The sun came out enough to melt off just enough snow to make the roads all wet. Then the sun went down and since our temps were never above freezing, that water has frozen. I tried to run to a friends house this evening and after sliding half a block and into the intersection I turned back around and went home.

Should make for a hairy drive in tomorrow morning at 7 for work. Dang this is gonna suck.

It is bloody hot over here in Sydney, 41 degrees Celsius (106 degrees Fahrenheit)
Some of the boys from my forum are doing a trackday today, the poor bastards.

So not only is Alaska bigger than Texas, it's now warmer too!?!? :jk: :p

It's just cold in Dallas because the Packers are there to win the Super Bowl!

:hi jack:

Poor ole' Favre.... Rodgers pulls this one off and they will forget about him forever. I'm rooting for the Pack though! I need to call my Dad (lives in TX) and see if the snow hit his area at all.

Nothing

WOW! I guess our mere 3.5 feet of snowfall since Jan15th and soon to be sub zero again temps are no longer the stuff of legend. When it snows south of the Mason Dixon, or anywhere that doesn't have real snow removal equipment, it makes national news. We here in the land of the "Chosen Frozen" just call it Mon,Tue,Wed, etc. You get the point. I think it just makes us appreciate the summer riding months more. BTW BDazzler it's nice to know that some people from IL. have good taste in football teams.

GO PACK!

I'll remember this post the next time it's over 85 degrees and people north of the MDL are complaining about the heat. ;)

So much for the snow. I had a very nice ride today.

We are having beautiful weather here to...:laugh2:

And we play real sports. Strap razor sharp blades to our feet, carry sticks and blast frozen rubber pucks at each others faces and bodies! All the while on a surface of rock hard Ice! :poke:

GO FLAMES!

Apparently some people from Florida understand, that's the Panthers on the ice to.

I am thinking about a new mod for the FZ (well maybe the KLR);
