I know this has probably been posted one hundred times, and I apologise. I'm working from my phone with reduced search capability.
I am wiring in a relay to power my heated grips. I want a relay so they are only powered when the ignition is on. I need to pick up a wire close to under the riders seat, that has constant 12V when the ignition is on, do they switch off when the ignition is off. The grip controller has a switch for when the ignition is on but I don't need the grips on.
I would normally just pick up the tail light wire, but the instructions say lighting and horn circuits can cause problems.
Any ideas (preferably by what it connects to and colour, because I don't have a manual).
