eBay pricing is around $280-$290 for a 120/180 set. Not a reasonable price at all for what's basically a bottom-tier manufacturer. I've used Shinkos in the past and have had no complaints but they were always far and away much more inexpensive than a comparable product. That's the appeal.
You could get a set of Michelin Pilot Power 3 or Bridgestone BT016 Pro for less than these; what's the point of trying a Shinko? Hell, for $20 more you can get a Pilot Road 4 or an Angel GT which would offer excellent all weather grip and probably triple the tread life than the reviewer got from these 016 Verge.
I just wanna throw a couple of 'Woot's in here right fast ...
:woot: for Revzilla - awesome company to deal with.
and ...
:woot: for Angel GT's - great tires for me, I just wish I had paid better attention to the actual mileage life on that first set. I don't have a firm number, but it was A LOT.
Ok ... I now return you to your regularly scheduled programing ...
Once my current Avons wear out, I'll be shopping again. My favourite tire ever so far was the Pilot Road 3 so I'm leaning that way again but the Avons I'm using now were $130 for the pair on closeout; that's a real attractive price
