Just clean and lube chain, check tire pressure and keep the load you’re carrying as small as possible so you can enjoy the curves.
I’ve done that route a couple of times on other bikes that were loaded down for cross country trips. The joy came when stopping for the day at campsites, unloading the crap and getting back out there.
If there’s one spot that stands out in my memory it was camping at Portola Redwood State park and riding La Honda road and Rt. 9 around Alice’s Restaurant south of San Fran. As a flatlander from the east I had never seen such roads. There are tons of those types of roads in CA/OR.
