RIP: Anthony Gobert, The Go Show

Many years ago, I was at Laguna Seca race track, watching a Super Bike race. Everybody was on a 1000 c.c. bike, except Gobert. I think he was riding for Muzzy at the time. I was in the pits, with Clem Salvatori, who use to write for Rider Magazine. Very good friend of mine. Anyway, Gobert was on a 750 c.c. bike, and was under powdered compared to most of the rest of the race bikes. I have never seen a rider push a race bike as hard as he did on that bike he was riding! Now he did fall off eventually, only because he was pushing that bike, that hard to keep up.
He had mental problems, and slowly fell apart. Pity, because he had all the talent in the world. At a certain time, one of best on two wheels.
Sorry to hear he has passed.

Sad, Don't know any details but he was certainly entertainment. I can imagine his mom is crushed she seemed to be his biggest fan.
