Can't find the thread to resurrect it for others but. Someone suggested reversing the two washers on each side for the peg mounting. This firms up the mounting. I tried it and find it a very inexpensive (No cost) and good mod. No extra vibes but more feel through the pegs.
Wow, this sure was an easy fix, admittedly to a problem I didn't even know I had. Solidly mounted foot pegs seem like they must be an advantage, though. The weather precludes my riding the bike to test, but hopefully tomorrow. I used six washers in total - four to replace the rubberized washers that hold on the rearset, and two on the metal "nubbie" behind the rearsets. So, three washers per side total. Thanks, guys.
