Remembering

Today I'll be riding to Travese City where Veterans For Peace chapter 50 (my chapter) will put out 169 crosses in the open space in honor of the men and women from Michigan who have given their lives in Iraq and Afghanistan. It's 34.8 degrees and 70 miles but I was lucky enough to survive The Vietnam problem so I'll be there for those and their families who didn't survive Iraq. Take a second or two to reflect.

Thanks for taking the time to honer them.
I served during a different time,{cold war}so i never saw combat.

IF YOU VALUE THE FREEDOM YOU HAVE AS AN AMERICAN, THANK A VET.
if you can read this thank a teacher.

A big thanks to all that have honered this country by serving

I have never served in the military. Tried to go in four times from 77 - 82. One reason or another I never made it in (Navy, Marines, Air Force, Navy). I guess God had other plans.

My father was in Navy for 22 yrs, sister for 20 and nephew for 4.
I am thnkful for their service and to every man and woman that has served in our great military. I know Freedom is not Free.

Thank you to all who have served. Next time you see a soldier just give him/her a handshake and thank them.

I have also joined Patriot Guard Riders - Home
They are motorcyclists that stand guard at fallen soldiers (active and retired) funerals. Check them out. Good opportunity to say thank you one last time.
